Art is not optional for Parla. Since it connects people, art can be a tool of problem solving, business building and economic development. Parla doesn’t believe that advertising is art, necessarily. Unless you’re doing advertising right.
So what is an artist doing in charge of client service? “Everybody at group46 has a professional skill as well as an ad agency role,” Parla says. “We know how to do things, not just talk about them. So mine is design and art direction.”
Beginning with the childhood gift of a 35MM camera, images have been the language in which Parla finds her strongest, most accurate way of connecting. From photos to drawings to painting, Parla pursued ability with a passion, working constantly to build the capacity to express herself and proceeding through a Master of Fine Arts degree in motion graphics at Savannah College of Art & Design. She continues to paint as one way of keeping that vital channel open.
Now, in her professional life, Parla listens intently to what clients see and think and feel, to offer them the same ability to understand, express and engage that Parla found for herself in art.
Discipline and creativity are not opposites in Parla’s world. The responsibilities of living fully are not met without direction, structure and form, so even for an artist, relevance demands understanding. Parla brings that realization to every client mission at group46.

Knowledge about social media, customer service, copywriting, website design and graphic design enhances Hannah’s self-motivated attitude and curiosity about the marketing field. As a previous intern with group46, she has knowledge about not only the field, but the company as well. She graduated from the College of Charleston in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication, and she is excited to start her career at group46.

Hilary is a dedicated and driven digital manager with a can-do attitude. Her background in pay per click, website design and communications, along with her ability to quickly learn new tasks makes her an asset in digital marketing innovations. Currently she is Google Adwords and Google Analytics certified.

David has a diverse background in book, package and graphic design. He worked at a small creative company for many years before venturing out on his own to explore his highly creative and often amusing ways of presenting a broad range of finished pieces to their best advantage (and yours.)

Shannon has experience in brand marketing and account management from agencies in Michigan and Manhattan, working with brands such as M&M Mars, Target, GlaxoSmithKline and Arm & Hammer. Shannon’s key responsibilities include developing client-specific marketing programs and ensuring their on-time and on-budget implementation.
